Erin and Vikas were generous with their time and expertise in the Audible panel for Ryerson’s Faculty of Communication and Design as a whole and our 3rd and 4th year performance students specifically. They shared many of the hows of audiobook narration but also the tangible next steps for students in broadening their education. Beyond the great expertise and perspective they shared – which was excellent, insightful and very warmly received – it was a tremendous conversation for students to have toward the end of term. It was such a nice change of pace to have professionals talking with such excitement about the trajectory of their work in a moment where there is such a great deal of the discourse focused not on the ‘how’, but the ‘if’ around arts organizations surviving past the pandemic.
